Patton
Pride There are
some of us in this town who just LOVE living in Patton.
We love being able to walk down the street day
or night, the beautiful park we have, the fishing derby,
the Great Patton Yard Sale, and Patton on Labor Day.
We would like to see
more things to do in town and maybe more stores to shop
at, but these things come with time. By taking
PRIDE in our community, we could open up opportunities
which don’t currently exist. We need to get up
and put forth an effort to make this town a place to
be PROUD of and we need to patronize the businesses
which are in our town, so that we don’t see any more
empty buildings appearing on main street.
This issue is dedicated
to spotlighting the new businesses that took a chance
by opening in Patton within the past year. Also,
this issue will reflect on what has happened over the
past year to show a community pulling together to make
a difference.

NEW
OWNERS Thanks
to the efforts and backing of the Patton
Pavers, the Patton Volunteer Fire Company
is in the process of purchasing the former
dry cleaning property (Pictured on the Left)
located at the corner of Mellon and Park
Avenues. This building has fallen
into a state of disrepair and has become
an eyesore. Tentative plans for demolition
is sometime this spring, and there is the
possibility that volunteers from the community
may be needed in addition to the fire company
members to complete this task.
Once the
property has been cleared, the fire company
plans to maintain the site for future fire
company and community activities. Also,
with its close proximity to a water source,
it would be an excellent location for training
exercises.
